Disneyland Paris

On a bit of a whim, we decided to make a quick 5 day trip down to Paris during the kids' half-term break in October.  Luckily, Gateway released them a few days earlier than the rest of Europe, so we had the park to ourselves for a couple of days before the hordes arrived.
The weather was great most of the time with highs around 70 and mostly sunny.  Disney had a deal for military families that essentially gave you a three day park hopper for the price of 1.  With Disneyland Paris and the adjacent Disney Studios, we decided to go for the three day adventure.
The first two days we spent a day in each park and were able to master the fast-pass system with the help of our trusty guide book.  We walked about 20,000 steps a day as we crisscrossed the park from one fast past appointment to another.  When the sun went down, the magic level went up with the beautiful lights and decorations.
Claire really enjoyed seeing all the princesses.

Laura loved the afternoon parades and evening fireworks.
Callum loved the Star Wars ride (and so did Tyler).
Everyone really loved Crush's Coaster and we rode it over 10 times over the week.  Callum was really brave and went in the single rider line several times and rode with strangers to squeeze a little bit more fun out of the day.

On the third day, we decided to go for a small day-trip to Fontainebleu, the country residence of the French royalty.  The fourth day we spent in Paris proper and then returned to Disneyland for one crazy day on the fifth day.  The half-term crowds from all over Europe had descended and the lines were much longer.  Luckily, we just wanted to do a few favorite rides again and weren't bothered too much by the crowds.
The kids were at a great age to appreciate the park and all the fun Disney magical experiences.
